Taking your puppy home

We are very happy to be able to provide you with your new loving pet and companion. We hope that you enjoy your puppy as much as we enjoy our dogs.
A few things that may be helpful to know once you take your puppy home.:
Puppy will take a few days to get used to its new home. Spending as much time with your puppy as possible will help him adjust quickly.
He may be sad at times, but holding and cuddling him will help.
If there are children in the home, puppy will need a quiet place(crate or kennel) to rest and have some time alone. Puppy will get stressed if he doesn't get some quiet time alone.
As puppy is adjusting to its home, he may not eat the required amount for his size/age. It may take a few days before he is eating what he should.
Feed him 4 times a day and approximately 1/3 cup at a time, with his favorite puppy chow.
Do not overfeed your puppy as this will result in an unhealthy puppy. Beagles are very  healthy dogs unless they are overfed.
Feeding table scraps is strongly discouraged as this will not give them the vitamins and nutrients they need in order to remain healthy.

Within a month you should bring your puppy into the vet. He will benefit from another wellness check and another dose of dewormer.
